Identifying the jurisdictional and isolated wetlands and ditches regulated by state and federal agencies is critical to strategic planning and successful timing of any size project.

A certification from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers identifying the location or lack of wetlands on a property is valid for five years, and is recommended as the first step before land disturbance,
